Tim Wu is a producer and DP based out of Brooklyn Heights in New York. An associate member of the SOC and a member of the IATSE Local 600 camera union, Tim has been fortunate enough to make a living pushing the little red button on cameras and pointing them at things.
He’s the cofounder of Illium Pictures and serves as the company’s executive producer, overseeing all of its commercial and narrative productions. Since beginning Illium in 2011, he has grown its commercial clientele to include Time Inc, The New York Times, A&E, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Lifetime, Billboard, Maybelline, ConAgra, Campbell’s, Microsoft, TruTV, Subway, Nickelodeon and many more.
On the narrative end, Tim’s recent projects as a producer include DARLING (starring Lauren Ashley Carter and Sean Young), which premiered at Fantastic Fest ‘15 and later distributed by Screen Media, Natasha Kermani’s IMITATION GIRL (Frightfest 2017), and Gabriel DeUrioste’s PROGRAM (NYFF 2017).
While his rate has varied, he has known to be easily swayed by the idea of unlimited seltzer on set… especially Polar Granny Smith and Polar Grapefruit seltzer…
